| The first design collaboration of Peter Jacobsen and Jim Hardy, Oregon GC opened in 1992 and proved an immediate success — playing host to the Fred Meyer Challenge (1992-98) and landing on Links magazine’s list of the nation’s top 100 modern courses. But the routing — which slips between mature woodlands, angles down ridges and runs quietly along creek banks — proved successful in another way: It convinced Jacobsen and Hardy to formalize their partnership and design more courses. |
